I love statistics man, anyone that knows me how obsessive I can be with tracking what I’m doing, from Movies and TV Shows, to Music and now gaming. I used to be primarily a PC gamer and I loved looking at the statistics that steam would show me for how long I’ve played a game, but this is quite lacking on Xbox, Switch and PS Vita entirely.
There are other services out there for this already, GOG for example released a program that does this but I had very specific “requirements” for what I wanted it to do, really, I wanted it as close as possible to how trakt works because of how fluid and easy that website is.
I named it GameTrakr which, also kind of got its name from Trakt in a sense. It’s currently private while I finish it off, but it’s at a pretty good state where I can publicly show it for people to get an idea of how it works and how it’ll work.
It’s powered by Internet Game Database and allows searching of games via the import page.
Yes I know the year and igdb column is mixed up 😑
That’s all I’m really showing off for now since it’s not finished, but I’ve been using it for a few weeks and starting racking up my play time so it’ll be able to report on it in my 2021 year in review 😀
